Every model below uses a different mix of driver types to shape its sound. Here's what actually matters when picking one.
- Dynamic driver
- A single larger diaphragm, similar to a tiny speaker. Warmer, punchier bass — the most natural-sounding starting point for most first-time buyers.
- Balanced armature
- A smaller, more precise driver borrowed from hearing-aid technology. Sharper detail and treble, usually paired with a dynamic driver to fill out the bass.
- More drivers isn't automatically better
- Extra drivers change the character of the sound, not its quality. Match the configuration to how you actually listen, not to the biggest spec sheet.
